What is the cost of the Wizardry Getaway?
*Retreat & Cottage Rooms are $1239. Each room includes a bathroom with a shower and accommodations for 2/3 individuals per room.
*Bunkhouse Rooms are $1189. The Bunkhouse is a cabin that is approximately 6 miles away from the Retreat Center and includes a 1500 square foot sewing area, full kitchen, 2 bedroom, & 3 bathrooms with showers/tubs.
**all classes will be held at the Retreat Center.
When and where can I buy a ticket?
Tickets will be available at geekyhardwarepre-orders.com on February 3, 2023 at 7pm central time.
What is included with my ticket?
The ticket for the Wizardry Getaway includes everything you will need for the event except travel, sewing machine, and thread. Each ticket gives the guest access to all that the Getaway has to offer. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the Getaway as they wish. You will be able to take part in all activities, choose activities, or just enjoy your time sitting on the covered patio. This is your time to relax and enjoy!
The following will be available to all guests:

What patterns will be sewn at the Getaway?
Each instructor will select a pattern for their sew along class. Patterns will be released in the private Wizardry Getaway Facebook group for guests once pattern selections are finalized.
What are the accommodations offered/ roommates?
This venue offers several rooms with double occupancy, cottages with triple occupancy, and a bunkhouse at a separate location (approximately an 8 minute drive from the main venue). Each location has its own bathroom with a shower. A sleeping arrangement chart will be available after tickets are purchased if you would like to request a certain roommate. If a roommate is not requested, they will be assigned by the Wizardry Getaway team. If special room accommodations are required, please reach out to us at wizardrygetaway@gmail.com.
Where is the Getaway located and how do I get there?
The Getaway is located in Quitman, Texas. The closest airport to the Retreat location is Tyler (TYR - Pounds Regional). This airport is about a 35 mile drive.
The largest airports near the Retreat location are:
Dallas (DFW - Dallas-Fort Worth Intl.) This airport is about a 95 mile drive.
OR
Dallas Love Field (DAL) This airport is about a 100 mile drive.
Do I have to bring my own machine and supplies?
Sewing machines will not be provided for this Getaway but will be available to rent. If you would like to bring your own machine and sewing kit, we encourage you to do so. Please keep in mind most patterns will use leather/vinyl/thicker materials that can be sewn easiest on a heavy duty/ semi-industrial machine. You will have a dedicated spot to set up your space for the entire getaway, so you will not have to pick up your machine at the end of each day.
All supplies except thread will be provided for each project.

What if I am unsure of my level of sewing skills?
All skill levels are welcome! We will gather together to have a fun relaxing time. If you are at the beginning of your sewing journey, we hope that you will join us and find some helpful tips along the way. If you are an advanced sewist, we hope that you join us to enjoy some time away and have a great time sewing some amazing projects.
What if I don’t know anyone else who will be there?
Once tickets are on sale, there will be a private Facebook group for all of the attendees. This will be a place to get to know each other. By the time the retreat date arrives, we will have had some time to get to know each other a little.
What are the mask/ vaccination requirements?
We are following all state and local mandates regarding masks and vaccinations. As of now (January 2023) masks and vaccinations are not required at this venue.
Cancellation/ Refund Policy Wizardry Getaway #2
*The venue selected for the Wizardry Getaway offers limited seating and sleeping quarters for our guests. For this reason, we request that any cancellations are made as soon as possible. This will allow us to offer your spot to another guest. All cancellations must be completed through email correspondence to the following email address: wizardrygetaway@gmail.com. Any refunds due to cancellations will be processed at the completion of the retreat or when/ if a replacement is found.
If a replacement is not found, the following policy applies:
Any cancellation made greater than 90 days before the event (February 03- February 23) will receive a full refund minus the $150 non refundable deposit that was part of the total cost. ($1089.00/ $1039.00 pending room accommodations chosen at checkout)
Any cancellation made between 30 and 90 days before the event (February 24- April 25) will receive a 50% refund of the total cost. ($619.50/ $594.50 pending room accommodations chosen at checkout)
Any cancellation made less than 30 days before the event (April 26- May 24) will receive a 25% refund of the total cost. ($309.75/ $297.25 pending room accommodations chosen at checkout)
If a replacement is found, the following policy applies:
A full refund minus the $150 non refundable deposit that was part of the total cost.
*Travel insurance is recommended in case of personal cancellations. This insurance can be provided through a 3rd party vendor for an additional cost
* We do not accept responsibility for any travel or other costs due to cancellations.
*In exceptional circumstances, we may have to cancel the Wizardry Getaway. In such an event, we will give as much notice as possible and attempt to accommodate you with an alternative date. If an alternative date is not a possibility, a full refund of the invoiced total will be issued.
