Join us for Wizardry Getaway #5 from August 28-31, 2025 in Quitman, TX!
This all-inclusive* event is available to 30 guests and includes:
- Sewing classes with patterns, fabrics, and hardware
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and non alcoholic beverages daily

*the only exclusions are travel, sewing machine & thread
A few important notes:
- Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - Intermediate
- You are familiar with seam allowances and you've made a few simple projects and want to advance your sewing skills.

What is the cost of the Wizardry Getaway?
*Retreat & Cottage Rooms are $1349. Each room includes a bathroom with a shower and accommodations for 2-4 individuals per room.
When and where can I buy a ticket?
Tickets will be available at GeekyHardwarePre-Orders.com on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at noon Central Time.
What is included with my ticket?
The ticket for the Wizardry Getaway includes everything you will need for the event except travel, sewing machine, and thread. Each ticket gives the guest access to all that the Getaway has to offer. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the Getaway as they wish. You will be able to take part in all activities, choose activities, or just enjoy your time sitting on the covered patio. This is your time to relax and enjoy!

What are the accommodations offered/ roommates?
This venue offers several rooms with double occupancy and cottages with 3-4 beds. Each location has its own bathroom with a shower. A questionnaire will be sent out after tickets are purchased. If you would like to request a certain roommate you will be able to do so then. We always try to fulfill mutual requests made by all parties as long as they fit within the bed assignments. If a roommate is not requested, they will be assigned by the Wizardry Getaway team based on compatibility from your questionnaire responses. Where is the Getaway located and how do I get there?
The Getaway is located in Quitman, Texas.
The closest airport to the Retreat location is
Tyler (TYR - Pounds Regional). This airport is about a 35 mile drive.
The largest airports near the Retreat location are:
Dallas (DFW - Dallas-Fort Worth Intl.) This airport is about a 95 mile drive.
Dallas Love Field (DAL) This airport is about a 100 mile drive.
Do I have to bring my own machine and supplies?
Sewing machines will not be provided for this Getaway but will be available to rent for an additional cost. If you would like to bring your own machine and sewing kit, we encourage you to do so. Please keep in mind most patterns will use leather/vinyl/thicker materials that can be sewn easiest on a heavy duty/ semi-industrial machine. You will have a dedicated spot to set up your space for the entire Getaway, so you will not have to pick up your machine at the end of each day.
All supplies except thread will be provided for each project.
What if I need to cancel?

What if I don’t know anyone else who will be there?
Once tickets are on sale, there will be a private Facebook group for all of the attendees. This will be a place to get to know each other. By the time the retreat date arrives, we will have had some time to get to know each other a little.
What if I have special dietary needs?
While we do try to accommodate everyone's specific needs, there may be an exception. In the event of severe allergies we may have to make special accommodations or ask that you prepare your own food. If you have any questions you are always welcome to email us at WizardryGetaway@gmail.com
Cancellation/ Refund Policy Wizardry Getaway #5
*The venue selected for the Wizardry Getaway offers limited seating and sleeping quarters for our guests. For this reason, we request that any cancellations are made as soon as possible. This will allow us to offer your spot to another guest. All cancellations must be completed through email correspondence to the following email address: wizardrygetaway@gmail.com. Any refunds due to cancellations will be processed at the completion of the retreat or when/ if a replacement is found.
If a replacement is not found, the following policy applies for the Retreat Center:
Any cancellation made greater than 90 days before the event (February 22-May 29) will receive a full refund minus the $150 non refundable deposit that was part of the total cost. ($1199)
Any cancellation made between 45 and 90 days before the event (May 30-July 14) will receive a 50% refund of the total cost. ($674.50)
Any cancellation made less than 45 days before the event (July 15-August 28) will receive a 25% refund of the total cost. ($337.25)
If a replacement is found, the following policy applies:
A full refund minus the $150 non refundable deposit that was part of the total cost.
*Travel insurance is recommended in case of personal cancellations. This insurance can be provided through a 3rd party vendor for an additional cost
*We do not accept responsibility for any travel or other costs due to cancellations.
*In exceptional circumstances, we may have to cancel the Wizardry Getaway. In such an event, we will give as much notice as possible and attempt to accommodate you with an alternative date. If an alternative date is not a possibility, a full refund of the invoiced total will be issued.
Photography Agreement
Throughout the event the Wizardry Getaway Team and attendees may take photographs and videos that may be used online and for advertisement purposes. All attendees agree that their picture and sound may be used by the above mentioned parties without granting any additional permissions.
Recording & Live Streaming of classes is not allowed with the exception of Wizardry Getaway Staff.
